Septum is not a bookcase. It’s an experience, a game.
It’s a dynamic way to interact with something usually static.
It’s a vertical element which changes its configuration with a simple gesture and with the actual weight of seven books,
one each day, the ones I’m reading and the ones I’m going to read.

A daily habit.

It consists of a rope-pulley lifting mechanism. From the pendant pulleys depart strips in natural cotton, which act as bookmarks for the books. Eventually, the books lay on a raw iron plate.
